Freedom In Action
Freedom In Action These numbers tell the story of a movement led by community. In the 2023–2024 program year, scholars showed up, young people led the work, and families stayed connected and partners helped make it all possible— proving that when we invest in each other, real change takes root.
A Word from Our Executive Director
Per the late Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.”
This is the basis culture of the Flint Freedom Schools Collaborative (FFSC), to be intentional in our service to others.
Since its formation, the FFSC has been committed to strengthening community ties, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting equity in underserved areas. We have evolved from a visionary concept to a grass-roots program, to now an established organization committed to bridging educational gaps in our community.
